Formation of Sage Business Solutions and New Executive Appointments

Message from Paul Johnson, EVP Sales, Sage Business Solutions

As Sue Swenson and Jodi Uecker-Rust outlined in their messages, BMD and ISSD are coming together to form Sage Business Solutions. To maximize the effectiveness of the sales organization in building the business, we are making several adjustments to our sales coverage model.

I would like to highlight the following decisions and direction on leadership of the sales organization for Sage Business Solutions in supporting you and your fellow business partners:

Small Business Accounting Solutions

Peachtree by Sage and Simply Accounting by Sage

Jim Mullery will continue to manage contact center sales for Small Business Accounting Solutions and Julian Scott will continue to lead our retail and "e"-tail business sales efforts for these solutions. Both Jim and Julian will now report directly to Connie Certusi.

Mid-Market ERP

Sage MAS ERP and Sage Accpac ERP

To align more closely with our partners and customers, we are implementing a regional sales model for the Sage MAS ERP and Sage Accpac ERP solutions. North America will be divided into three regions: the western United States will be led by Pascal Van Dooren; the eastern United States will be led by Sally Craig; and Canada will be led by David Lahey. Partner management and new customer acquisition will be covered by a combination of Field Partner Advocates, Inside Partner Advocates and Strategic Account Managers within each region. The installed base sales team for these solutions will continue to report to Julia Stegman and will cover all of North America. David, Pascal, Sally, and Julia will continue to report directly to me.

Sage ERP X3

Steve Vukmaravich will continue to expand our Sage ERP X3 business in North America. Steve and his team will work closely with our regional ERP teams to grow the X3 business and recruit new partners to sell and implement the X3 solution. Steve will continue to report directly to me.

CRM

Sage SalesLogix, SageCRM, SageCRM.com, and ACT! by Sage

Jeff Gregorec will continue to manage our sales efforts for the Sage SalesLogix, SageCRM, SageCRM.com, and ACT! businesses in North America. Jeff will continue to report to me and will work closely with Susan Searle to focus on improving our business results with our large ACT! customer base. The installed base sales team for Sage SalesLogix and SageCRM will continue to report to Julia Stegman.

Specialized Solutions

Employer Solutions, Fixed Assets, and Value Solutions

The Employer Solutions sales team will be lead by Jeffrey Williams and will report to Himanshu Palsule, and the sales teams for our Value Solutions and Sage FAS will report to a new vice president of sales. A search to fill this position is underway and this individual will report directly to me.

Industry Solutions

Construction and Real Estate and Nonprofit Solutions

The sales team for our Construction and Real Estate business led by Rich Rudolph will continue to report to General Manager John Geffel and the Nonprofit Solutions sales team led by Al James will continue to report to General Manager Krista Endsley.

Vice President, Partner Strategy and Marketing

As Jodi indicated in her announcement, we are creating a new position focused on partner strategy, programs, and channel marketing for the division to build on our industry-leading Partner Advantage program. This individual will report directly to me and I hope to announce this leader shortly.

I am confident that the changes we are making will help us to build stronger sales practices and standard methodologies that with help both Sage, and you as our business partner, achieve even greater results. In some cases, your normal sales contact may be changing. The sales leadership team will be reaching out to you shortly to let you know about any point of contact changes that might affect you.
